I lost my strength and my life,
my friends and my joy;
I lost till the pride
that made my genius believable.
When I knew Truth,
I thought she was a friend;
when I understood and felt her,
I was already disgusted by her.
Although, she is eternal,
and those who did without her
on this Earth didn’t understand anything.
God is speaking, we must answer him.
The only good I still have in this world
is to have cried sometime.
Ho perso la mia forza e la mia vita
e i miei amici e l’allegria;
ho perso finanche l’orgoglio
che dava l’impressione del mio genio.
Quando ho visto la verità
ho pensato che fosse un’amica;
quando l’ho compresa e sentita
ero già disgustato.
Eppure ella è eterna
e quelli che sono passati da qui
tutto hanno ignorato.
Dio parla, bisogna rispondergli.
L’unico bene che mi resta al mondo
è quello di aver pianto talvolta.
